I'm as much a problem solver as a designer. I read the brief thoroughly, focusing on what's actually being asked and what needs fixing. Before I start, I need to understand the problem deeply, the industry doesn't matter. Whether it's tech, coffee, or real estate, I approach each brief the same way: understand what actually needs to be solved. That foundation, built on genuine understanding rather than industry assumptions, is what shapes stronger concepts and solutions.I'm as much a problem solver as a designer. I test everything. Multiple concepts, unexpected directions, visual languages that push boundaries. Some fail, and that's the point. I sketch, iterate, and explore beyond the obvious. This phase is messy and necessary. Out of it comes the concept that feels both unexpected and inevitable. The idea that solves the problem in a way that wouldn't exist if I'd played it safe.After exploration, everything gets cleaned up. I establish foundational elements where every design piece, typography, color, spacing, imagery, iconography, works in relation to the others. I build design systems from these foundations so nothing exists in isolation. It's meticulous because the details separate great work from good. Two brands might have the same concept, but the one with intention in every element, every interaction, every touchpoint.Design only works when everyone understands it. I share work early, give and ask for honest feedback, and work closely with UX so the visuals and user needs line up. With developers, I think about the build from the start: clean Figma files, clear naming, documented states and the reasoning behind every detail. The result is less guesswork, fewer surprises and a final product that stays true to the designI'm as much a problem solver as a designer.
